118 Miles Per Gallon! The Honda Fit EV

A few months ago, I went from driving an SUV to a Honda Civic because of the distance I now have to drive to work.  I now get 36 MPG as opposed to around 14 MPG with the SUV.  What a difference and what a savings.

According to Motor Trend, the new Honda Fit EV gets the highest fuel efficiency rating in history.  118 miles per gallon!  That is crazy and hopefully Honda as well as other auto makers will apply the same technology to all cars.  Imagine only spending $500 a year on gas.  Most people spend around $5,000 per year.

Now the price.  Base model, before tax credits is around $36,000.  It might be worth it in the long run.
