We have dreaded the thought for sometime, $4 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline at WNY pumps. The price of a gallon of gas hasn't been $4 per gallon here since around Memorial Day of last year, according to BuffaloGasPrices.com.

Earlier this week, the average price for gas in Buffalo was only $3.80 per gallon, or lower depending upon how much you wanted to travel.

On the West Coast, prices are even higher, $5 per gallon in some places, prompting President Obama to address the escalating prices in his weekly radio address yesterday.

"Just like they did last year, gas prices are starting to climb. Only this time, it's happening earlier, and that hurts everyone, everybody who owns a car, everybody who owns a business. It means you have to stretch your paycheck even further," the President said.
