This Weekend Is The 7th Anniversary of the October Winter Storm

We won’t have anything close to that this weekend.

I was talking to WKBW meteorologist Aaron Mentkowski today, reminiscing about the big October storm of 2006. This weekend, we can expect temperatures in the 60s and 70s. That was not the case in 2006.

Just a note: It was warm in the days that led up to the October Storm, which hit seven years ago this week, beginning on October 12, 2006. In that storm, nearly two feet of snow fell on trees that were fully leafed out, breaking off huge branches and causing chaos.

If you have photos from the storm, send them to me at brian@961joyfm.com.
