I’ve got to start with a confession: I don’t remember most of the commercials on TV during my high school years. But if the commercials were as mind-bogglingly strange as the ones from the 1990s seem to be, I think I might have asked for home schooling.

Our friends at The Huffington Post put together an impressive set of commercials from the ‘90s, some of which we grabbed to show you here. For instance, I couldn’t even chew gum in school! But they let these kids go nuts with it:

I don’t remember any of my teachers using whitening toothpaste (for that matter, I’m not sure they used any toothpaste). But in the ‘90s, apparently, they did. Even for kindergarden students:

And although it didn’t seem fair, parents got to taunt their kids before sending them to school:
