Wallet Friendly Buffalo Eats

Buffalo has some of the finest restaurants for a relatively inexpensive amount of money in the nation. If you're looking for hot dogs, burgers, bar food or ethnic, you will not have any trouble finding a great place right here in Western New York. 

Here are some of our favorite places :

Seneca Hots

If your in the mood for one of Buffalo's best tube steaks try the Texas Hots on Seneca Street in South Buffalo.  The locals love to add the Texas Hots sauce to their dogs better known as 'slime dogs'. You and a guest can fill up here for well under $20.

Panos Restaurant

Good Food, Great portions. Pano's is a staple in Buffalo, it's been around for decades and we've all enjoyed seeing the building transform over the years. Pano's has something for everyone (including vegetarians). Pano's is one of the only places in town you can get a really nice steak for under $20, but get there early; they don't take reservations and the line starts forming out the door most nights after 7pm.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and don't for get their great fish dinner.  The kids will enjoy their really cool salt water fish tanks and the parents will enjoy the extremely reasonable prices.

Zhang's Buffet

$9.99 for Zhang's all you can eat buffet is one of the best values in Western New York. We'll be honest, Zhang's isn't going to win any culinary awards and you won't see anyone from the kitchen on Top Chef anytime soon, but if you're in the mood for Chinese (and a lot of it) this is the place to feed your craving.

One of the best places in Buffalo for authentic German Cuisine.  Their Rouladen and Potato Pancakes are just like my grandfather used to make.

Town Restaurant

The perfect spot to take your family on a Sunday morning. Towne has friendly service and a lot of menu items cost less than a trip to Starbucks. They serve breakfast all day (and night) long so when your kids demand eggs at 8pm Towne is a sure fire way to avoid a tantrum.

El Palenque

Some of the best Mexican food around. You won't believe the size of the Margaritas. Great salsa, steak carne asada, burritos and more all for a very modest price. Service is friendly and very fast.

Louie's Hot Dogs

Louie's is a great, less expensive alternative to TED's. It's a little cramped inside so you might want to make your order to-go or it's nice enough to eat outside. This is a great place to take a team after a tee-ball game and no matter who won the game, your wallet is going to come out on top here.
