Beyonce Duets With Blind Concert Goer in Australia [VIDEO]

There’s a reason Beyonce is the Queen Bey: She’s not only the most talented singer, dancer and performer in the game, but she’s also the classiest and one of the most compassionate superstars on the planet. She proved it once more this week in Perth, Australia, where she sang with a legally blind concert goer named Sophie Kotkis and pretty much made her life.

Kotkis’ big sister, Ellie, made the magic moment happen.

“She’s never really been able to go to a concert due to logistical reasons so I made a video about Sophie,” Ellie told Perth Now. “Even with everything that she’s been through, she’s been able to do so much. She raised over $1,000 for people with multiple sclerosis at the Runamuck (for the MS Society). I put that all in the video and I just said that I think someone as amazing as Sophie deserves to meet someone as amazing as you (Beyonce).”

Ellie added, “It was so important for me because there’s been a lot of things in life that Sophie hasn’t been able to do, but she loves music, loves to dance and loves to sing and this was just something for me to show the world how amazing she is. I’ve gained so much having her as a sister.”

A Kotkis family friend sent the video to Beyonce’s manager, and as a result, Sophie was invited to attend Bey’s Nov. 8 concert. However, Sophie had no idea anything was going to happen until Bey flew across the arena on a harness and landed right in front of her.

“I have a very special young lady here,” Bey, sporting natural, extension-free hair and a sparkly indigo bodysuit, told the crowd. “Tell everybody your name beautiful.” After an incredulous, glowing Sophie told her, Bey continued, “Everybody say, ‘Hello Sophie!’ Sophie, I think I need you to help me sing this song. Do you think you can sing ‘To the left, to the left’?”

Later, Sophie, who Ellie says is “still on cloud nine,” put it simply. “I told my mum that I got a kiss from Beyonce.”
