“CAID Day At The Park” Promotes Impaired Driving Awareness

A very special event is coming up this Saturday. The "CAID Day at the Park" is combination family event and softball tournament aimed at spreading the word about tragedies that result from impaired driving.

The day-long event at Sunshine Park in West Seneca is organized each year by Deanna Russo, whose sister, Karen Kwiatkowski, was killed by a drunk driver 14 years ago. Despite recent impaired driving accidents that have taken the lives of some promising young teenagers, Deanna says she is not discouraged from her mission of trying to make people understand the horrifying results of driving while texting or driving drunk.

Saturday's event includes a barbecue, a variety of activities for kids and some great raffles and prizes including sports memorabilia and Southwest Airlines tickets. For all the information, check out  CaidOnline.com.
