New research says it happens. A lot.

The study, done by Baltimore's Sheppard Pratt Center For Eating Disorders, looked at 600 people ages 16-14. 75 % of those polled said they were unhappy with their bodies, while 51 % said seeing their pictures on Facebook made them more body conscious, and 32% felt sad after comparing their Facebook photos with those of friends.
