However, sometimes a good friendship can help a person push through their addiction and set their life back on track.

Delilah,
I have been listening to you since I was 13 years old. I am 32 now and love you more than ever. I wanted to play a song for my best friend, Wade. He will be one year sober later this spring. He and I met waiting tables in New York about 9 years ago.
The way we became friends was actually over a conversation about you and your show. We both loved it and were singing the same song when we met. We have been through so much of life's little troubles together. A year ago, I thought that I would lose him forever to addiction. This month he is a year sober and I am so proud of him!
His life is amazingly different now than it was. I miss our dance parties we used to have to your show. But he has become an incredible, inspiring man. Love you, Wade. So happy you won! Please play "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship.
