Congratulations to Joy FM’s October 2013 Teacher of the Month, Mr. Simet!

BIG congratulations are in order for October Teacher of the Month, Mr. Simet from Holland Jr./Sr. High School!

Mr. Simet was nominated by Kristen Reumann. Her eighth grader, Karson, is in Mr. Simet's science class. Kristen says:

I would like to nominate my science teacher Mr. Simet. Every 2 to 3 days my classmates and I do a new fun lab. I like Mr. Simet because he can relate to all of his students. He shows us respect and doesn't talk down to us. He always has a smile on his face when his students walk in. He is kind, fair, understanding and has a positive attitude. He is a teacher that knows how to make learning fun and exciting. He is a very good role model. Whenever Mr. Simet has his students do a lab he lets the kids pick their own partner. Although this is Mr. Simet's first year of teaching at Holland all the kids and I think he is doing a very good job. Science is now my favorite subject.

As a small token of our appreciation, Mr. Simet received a $50 SpOt Coffee gift card and a pretty sweet Brother MFC-J430w InkJet All-In-One Wireless Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax Machine, courtesy of Rapid Refill, for the classroom! Karson's class was also treated to a pizza party, delivered by Southgate Pizza, for the nomination!
