The American Academy of Pediatrics has come out with new social media guidelines that suggest sites like facebook can make kids with self esteem issues feel even worse.  They're calling it "Facebook Depression."

Researchers says with status updates and pictures of happy-looking people enjoying good times, facebook can make kids who already suffer low self esteem feel even more like they don't measure up.  The Los Angeles Times  reports the study urges parents to talk with their children about online use and to be aware of  Facebook depression, cyberbullying, sexting and other online risks.  The study is published in the journal  "Pediatrics."
