Disturbing Discovery Found in Wal-Mart Birthday Cake

A Maine family bought more than they bargained for when they decided to celebrate their 2-year-old son’s birthday with a Elmo-themed cake that they bought from Wal-Mart. Guess what they found in the cake?

Nathan Bibeau bought his son Cayden the cake from Wal-Mart and wanted to have a great second birthday party with all their family at the house. Things took a turn when one of the family members was cutting the cake and found a knife baked inside of the cake. Bibeau was frustrated and told local news reporters that it ruined his whole party and guests started to leave. It “put a dampener” on  everything, he claimed

Now, the family is considering suing Wal-Mart for their mistake.

Wal-Mart has since apologized and offered a refund of the cake. Nobody was injured at the party. According to the NY Daily News, Wal-Mart rep Kayla Whaling said, “This should not have happened. We’re thankful no one was hurt and sincerely apologize to our customers for their experience.”

She added that the store was now banning the use of paring knives at its bakeries across the country.

“We’re not going to get that second birthday back ever,” the father claimed.

I’m still trying to figure out why the guests were in such an uproar that they left the birthday party?
