Jethro is a 2-year-old yellow Lab. He will eat anything, and when I say anything, I mean it. He also loves swimming in the creek and cuddles.

Maggie (Submitted by Marcia Carr)

Maggie is a 13-year-old Jack Russell who is the joy of our lives!!! The first year we had her, we labeled her the 'dog from hell.' But everyone told us, "Give her time, she'll become a couch potato" -- and she did!!!! She is still playful and LOVES to bask in the sun. Even on our 88+ days, she will lay on her back in the sun!

Deogie (Submitted by Dominick Gullo)

Great with everyone, from toddlers pulling on his tail to teenagers to us grandparents. My daughter had three back surgeries, and this dog knows when to snuggle gently with her when she can't move too well to giving her those puppy eyes asking to go for a walk. He was born January 28, 2006 and is a purebred Shih Tzu. His favorite toy is anything with a squeaker in it so he can sing along with it when he's chewing on it.

Slider (Submitted by Kathryn Marks)

Slider is a 1.5-year-old Corgi mix. She is named after the Cleveland Indians’ mascot (it was my husband's favorite team). Slider loves her tennis ball more than anything in this world. We play outside or in the house at least two hours every day. When my husband passed away, I was so afraid that I would have to give her away since I work 12-hour overnight shifts. My best friend, Jennette, took Slider in and watches her when I work. Slider does really well bouncing between the two houses. She is my cuddle buddy when I sleep and licks away my tears when I am sad. She's the best friend a girl could ever ask for! She really is my heart!

Billy loves going to Canine and Company for daycare and grooming!!! He's so pretty, and he has an attitude yet loves all of his friends there!!

Sammy (Submitted by Tanya Brady)

Sammy is a Goldendoodle, and he is the most handsome dog in the world! He has a personality that will blow you away. He has a way with the ladies, but back off pooches, he's fixed! Sammy's favorite hobby is going for car rides! Let's Go Buffalo!

Fidel (Submitted by Melissa Lennox)

I adopted Fidel about four months ago. His owner had passed away suddenly, leaving him a very sad pooch. When I met Fidel and saw his personality, I knew he was the new addition to my family. During the last four months, Fidel has suffered from separation anxiety. But with much love and affection, he is currently a very happy pooch! He loves visiting his friends at doggie daycare as well as chilling at home with his cats!! He enjoys his Kongs and any treat for that matter. He enjoys his long walks and is just a sweetheart. Fidel is 3 years old and is a Jack Russell and Sheltie mix.

Luna Lovegood (Submitted by Julie Ann Sabshin)

Luna Lovegood is a Shih Tzu and will be two years old on August 5, 2013. My daughter, Kimberlee, named her after the character in the Harry Potter novels. She is living up to her namesake. She is sweet and loveable. Just like the character, she sometimes appears to be spaced out and kind of wacky. But on the other hand, she can be very smart. When it's playtime, nine times out of 10, she will bring the toy we ask for (all her toys have names). One of her favorite toys is Blackie. He looks like King Kong. She rolls on her back over him for a back massage. When she was just a few months old, I taught her to pray. She does it on command now for treats. But she also prays when she is belly up and wants more tummy tickles. One of her favorite hangouts is outside the post office waiting for attention from the patrons as they come out. She loves to ride in her stroller, and she gets a lot of attention that way. During the heat spell we had, it was hard to get her out of the air-conditioned house. All we had to say was, "Let's see if Boomer (or any one of her many dog friends) is outside." She would bolt to the door to go out. When the UPS man leaves a package at our door, he now leaves a biscuit for Luna. She knows her way around the neighborhood too. If we say, "Let's go see Cricket," she will lead us up to her door. She is a very sociable dog in the neighborhood.

Brick (Submitted by Laura Grieser)

Brick is a sealed brindle Boxer that was born on October 17, 2012. He's such a good boy, always happy, loving, playful and so photogenic! He loves to be in pictures and seems to pose for the camera ready to be a star! Brick is a very important member of our family, and we love him!
