Dumped By Text? Happens More Than You’d Think

Dumped by a text message? First of all, you have my deepest sympathies [although it's probably easier than having to face the "dumper" face-to-face]. If it's any consolation, you're in pretty good company.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer reportedly broke up via a text. One of this year's contestants on The Bachelor reported she got a text welcoming her to "...Dumpville...population, YOU" [now that's just cold]. In fact, a new study by the European cell phone company Recombu.com says one in ten people have gotten the message that their relationship was over via text!(The same study, based on 2.000 responses, says that one-third of people in relationships have taken a peek at their partner's phone's inbox, and 25% have used a text to flirt with someone they are not in a relationship with.)
