Hosted by the Museum of disABILITY History, the “Celebrating Differences” event will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at Monkey See, Monkey Do… Children’s Bookstore, 9060 Main Street in Clarence. There will be book readings of Ivan the Invacar book series and “disABILITY Awareness” skits by Kids on the Block of WNY puppeteers. The Ivan the Invacar book series is written by James M. Boles, president of People Inc. The books are brightly illustrated to introduce children to disabilities and how to be more independent with adaptive equipment. The books also explore Ivan’s “superhero powers” and adventures! This event is free. Books will be for sale. For more information or to RSVP, call 716-629-3623.
