Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue
Additional Information
Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue is a newly organized, not for profit companion animal rescue based in Niagara County. Heart of Niagara’s mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted, and homeless animals. The organization’s goal is to provide these rescued animals with shelter, food and medical care until a loving adoptive family can be found.
Heart of Niagara will be taking in their first dog rescues very soon and invite you to join their team of foster families willing to temporarily share their home with an animal in need. Every additional foster home means an additional animal saved.
The rescue is in need of the following donated items: Purina Puppy Chow and Dog Chow, large and medium kennels/crates, and blankets. If you would like to donate any of these items or if you are able to foster an animal, please call 716-345-7129.
In addition, there will be a Volunteer/Foster Meeting on Tuesday, April 16th from 6-8 PM, at the Lewiston Public Library, Community Room, 305 South 8th Street. Heart of Niagara’s Directors, along with Dr. Kristen Ruest from The Village Vet of Lewiston will be in attendance to answer questions about fostering, animal care and other volunteer opportunities. Visit their website at www.heartofniagara.org and “Like” them on Facebook at Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue, Inc.
