Falls State Park To Get Facelift [VIDEO]

Niagara Falls State Park, one of the oldest in the nation is getting a facelift, of sorts. NYS Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey has made Niagara Falls State Park a priority saying,

"People were talking about Niagara Falls looking shabby - and Niagara Falls can't look shabby. We need to show this can be America's most visible, most important park in the past, in the present and in the future," she said.

Improvements on the docket include the Science and Discovery Center going green. The pedestrian bridge that crosses the Niagara rapids will be replaced and traffic flow, that at times can be choppy, will be improved on Goat Island as part of the state's investment. New trollies will be added to the existing group and scenic overlooks will be restored, especially at Terrapin Point, where aerialist Nik Wallenda will cross the Falls this summer.
