Have A Ball on New Year’s Eve 2013 in Buffalo

Well, the world is supposed to end on December 21, but hopefully we’ll make it out alive to celebrate New Year’s Eve!

Everyone is looking for a party or a spot to go on New Year’s Eve. To help you decide where to go, we have a full list of events that will be held in Western New York.

Buffalo Annual Ball Drop Countdown to 2013

Squeeze in with the rest of the crowd in Roosevelt Plaza, at Main and Huron Streets, as the countdown to the New Year begins. It’s free to attend all of the fun.

First Night Buffalo

It’s a Buffalo tradition each year held at the Convention Center (153 Franklin St.). This is Buffalo’s biggest drug- and alcohol-free celebration for New Year’s Eve. There will be activities for all ages, including carnival rides and amusements, bounce houses, ice skating, exotic reptiles and a grand finale ball drop. The event will last from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door (children under 2 are free). For more information, visit the First Night Buffalo website.

Statler City Ice Ball 2012

The historic Statler Towers (167 Delaware Ave.), hosts one of the area’s largest New Year’s Eve parties. The doors open at 6 p.m., but the party won’t stop well until 2013 has begun. Tickets are $200 a person and include five hours of open bar from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., three and a half hours of food and a champagne toast. There will also be live music by JJ Swing, Jeremy Hoyle & Strictly Hip, DJ Vixen, Nick Battistella and Steve Balesteri. For more information, visit the Statler City Ice Ball 2012 website.

New Year’s Eve Party at Rendezvous Niteclub

Rendezvous The Niteclub is located inside of Statler City, but this party is separate from the Stater City Ice Ball 2012. This particular party begins at 8 p.m. and is $30 per person. Admission includes three hours of open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight, a champagne toast and hors d’oeuvres. For more information, visit the New Year’s Eve Party at Rendezvous Niteclub website.

Lafayette Royale

This is Buffalo’s only James Bond 007-themed New Year’s Eve party. Located at the Hotel at the Lafayette (391 Washington St.), this Bond-themed party will have gambling tables including craps, roulette, blackjack, and poker. Music will be provided by DJ Cutler and Dan Harper and The Magic Show, and a portion of the 70-member Buffalo Niagara Concert Band. A $40 ticket includes one free Bond-style One Roq drink and a free champagne toast at midnight, while a $100 ticket includes four hours of eating and drinking catered by AcQua in The Crystal Ballroom from 8 p.m. to midnight.  A Polka New Year’s Eve Gala

The is the first polka New Year’s Eve party at one venue to hit Buffalo. It will be located at the Millennium Hotel (2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga) from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. There will be two polka bands featured — the Polka Country Musicians and the Bedrock Boys. Tickets are $229 per couple and include a standard room for two, dinner, a five-hour open bar, a champagne toast and a morning Polish breakfast brunch. New Year’s Eve Gala and Art Auction

The Western New York Book Arts Center (468 Washington St.) is hosting a night from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. that includes the party norms, but also a silent auction. The ball drop can be viewed from the BAC, and there will be hors d’oeuvres, live music, an open bar and a champagne toast. Tickets are $70 for members and $80 for non-members, with all of the proceeds benefiting the WNYBAC. For more information, visit the Western New York Book Arts Center website.

New Year’s Eve Guitar Drop

The Hard Rock Cafe (333 Prospect St., Niagara Falls) will be hosting the 4th Annual New Year’s Eve Guitar Drop at 7 p.m., which features a free outdoor concert. Live music this year will be performed by Everclear, Eve 6 and The Albrights. There will also be fireworks that start at midnight. For more information, check out the Visit Buffalo Niagara website.

New Year’s on the Canal Gateway Harbor Ball Drop

Located at the Gateway Harbor Park, there will be a five-foot lighted ball drop from atop the building on the corner of Webster and Sweeney Streets. Activities for the family begin at 6 p.m. with a merchant scavenger hunt and two alcohol-free kid zones. There will also be live music until 1 a.m., food and a pub crawl for adults. New Year’s Eve at Templeton Landing

You can enjoy celebrating the New Year right by the lake at Templeton Landing (2 Templeton Terrace) with four hours of open bar, as well as five serving stations. There will also be a DJ, professional photographer, a champagne fountain and midnight balloon drop. This event will run from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and tickets are $100 per person. New Year’s Eve at Salvatore’s

There are two different packages to celebrate the New Year, but both include a six-hour premium bar. The Venetian Package includes a five-course dinner with a DJ for $105 per person. The Bellamore Package includes a six-course dinner package and live music by the Soul Providers for $125 per person. The restaurant is located at 6461 Transit Rd., Depew. Hamburg Bicentennial New Year’s Eve Ball

The Hamburg Fairgrounds Event Center will have its own celebration to bring in the New Year. Doors open at 8 p.m., and tickets are $80 a person, which includes live music by the Diva Show Band. It also includes gourmet food stations, three hours of open bar, a champagne toast, $15 in free play at the casino and breakfast at the casino. New Year’s Eve Concerts

USS With Special Guests The Balconies and Whiskey Reverb

Bring in the New Year at The Rapids Theatre (1711 Main St., Niagara Falls). The show starts at 9 p.m., and tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the door. It is an all-ages show, but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information on tickets, visit The Rapids Theatre website.

Average White Band

Celebrate the New Year at the Tralf Music Hall (622 Main St.). Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and the show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 pre-order and $49 the day of the show. Chuck Negron, Formerly of Three Dog Night

The Seneca Niagara Casino (310 4th St., Niagara Falls) will be bringing in the New Year with Chuck Negron. Shows will be at the Bear’s Den Showroom, located inside the casino, at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Chuck Negron has classics from the ’60s and ’70s such as “Joy to the World” and “Easy to be Hard”.
