How Many Teeth Do Kids Lose?

My daughter lost #8 last night. 

My daughter Marissa is 8 years old. She lost tooth number 8 last night. The tooth fairy is wondering how many teeth they actually lose, since it's getting expensive!

Apparently she has 12 more to go. Everyone loses 20 teeth. I don't remember loosing that many!

All 20 teeth should be out by the time they are 12 or 13. In their place, 32 "adult" teeth show up (28 without wisdom teeth).
