Earlier this year, Britain's Prince Harry found out that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. Now another celebrity has discovered an alcohol-driven misstep 20 years ago can stay on your permanent record...

Janeane Garofalo was dating writer-producer Rob Cohen in the early '90's. They went to Vegas, got drunk, and decided to get married in a drive-through chapel. Neither one thought that the ceremony was valid. Says Garafolo, "[We thought] you have to go down to the courthouse and sign papers and stuff, so who knew?"

Oopsie. Turns out such marriages are perfectly legal in Vegas [otherwise, who'd go to the trouble of building a drive-through wedding chapel?]. Now that Cohen is planning to..well, technically, I guess it'd be remarry, the duo had to clear up a 20-year marriage that neither one knew was going on. Fortunately, it's as easy to get divorced in New York as it is to get married in Nevada. Two notarized signatures, and the wedding was history.

So be careful if you visit Vegas. It's much easier to get into complications than you think.
