Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to one of her idols, Whitney Houston, at last night's Grammy Awards with an electrifying performance of one of Houston's mega-hits.

In the wake of Houston's sudden death on Saturday, Grammy broadcast producers scrambled to include a remembrance to the diva. Hudson, who had been a fan of Whitney's from her childhood, was tapped to perform "I Will Always Love You". US Magazine reported that rehearsals were difficult, with Hudson breaking down several times during the Sunday morning run-through.Indeed, Hudson fought her emotions during the performance, before presenting an incredible moment:

Hudson has credited the late singer with inspiring her career, and noted that Houston presenting Hudson's first Grammy to her in 2008 "almost overshadowed getting the Grammy".
