After much speculation, anti-vaccination crusader Jenny McCarthy has officially been confirmed by Barbara Walters as the new co-host on 'The View,' replacing exiting host Joy Behar.

Let's just hope she keeps her opinions on medicine to herself.

"We are delighted that Jenny will be joining us as a permanent co-host on 'The View' starting in September," Walters confirmed on the July 15 show. "Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter."

"I'm beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table. I'd like to thank ABC for this great opportunity," said McCarthy of the announcement. "I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off."

McCarthy should be comfortable in the co-host seat since she's been on the show 17 times -- including eight stints as a guest co-host. As for her low-rated Vh1 solo talk show 'The Jenny McCarthy Show,' both of you who watch it will be delighted to hear Jenny will be pulling double-duty and it isn't going anywhere.
