Katie Couric Transitions From News Anchor To Talk Show Host

Katie Couric... the woman I used to enjoy waking up to every morning on the NBC "Today" show... will soon making her transition from News Anchor to Talk Show Host.

While Katie Couric helped the NBC ratings to soar during her run on "Today", her move to the CBS Evening News was a bust. After 5 years of trying to deliver the serious news every night, "America's Sweetheart" (as she was once known) is now transitioning into the role of Talk Show Host.

Katie Couric's new talk show titled "Katie" will premiere this September at 3:00PM on most ABC affiliate stations. According to the USA Today, the show will be geared towards datyime's largely female audience, and focus on a variety of topics from scandals to the current hot topics happening in the world.
