Katy Perry’s Preacher Parents Pray For Her To Choose Tim Tebow

Word has it that Katy Perry's parents are praying that their daughter opens up her heart to Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.  They reportedly told "OK!" magazine that Katy and Tim would make an excellent couple.

Katy's parentals Keith and Mary Hudson, hope her future Sundays will be spent going to church and watching football as husband and wife. Katy’s preacher parents are convinced that the hunky, God fearing Tim is just what Katy needs after her split with Russell Brand. The couple filed for divorce on Dec. 30 after 14 months of marriage.

The buzz is that Katy’s mom  believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again.  In her mind, Tebow is the perfect guy for her daughter. He’s handsome, charming, intelligent and above all, a good Christian.  Tim is refered by fans as “God’s quarterback” and openly prays on the field, a move called “Tebowing.”

Meanwhile, Katy has made it clear that her parents' opinions are not her own.  following word that Mom and Dad were discussing her situation as part of their sermons, Ms. Perry tweeted that "No one speaks for me.  Not a blog, magazine, close sources or my family."
