In the late 70s/early 80s, we all started experimenting with AWFUL perms.  When I was about 7 or 8, my mom did such a thing to herself...unbeknownst to me.  I can remember it like it was yesterday....I walked home from school, in the front door, and there she stood, with this tightly-wound head of curls (as opposed to her usual "mom-bob" style), holding the phone to her ear.  I took one look at her face, felt SO WEIRD because I almost didn't recognize her, BURST into tears, and ran out of the house.  I ran, sobbing, up the street to my best friend's house and told her mom what MY mom looked like.

Needless to say, everyone laughed.

That's why, while I totally chuckle at this video, I also feel for this little girl!!! (As an aside, one of my best friends growing up had a sign in her kitchen that said "Kissing a man without a beard is like eating an egg without salt"....her father had a big, bushy beard our entire lives, and this sign always made me chuckle...)
