Sorry, Forest...the bar has been raised.

A 49-year-old man named Armand Young is walking across the country, hoping to inspire 1,000,000 acts of kindness in honor of fallen soldiers and victims of 9/11.

Six years ago, he gave away everything he owned and all his money. He started walking. He carries a 6-foot pole draped with American flags and asks anyone who signs the flags to do one thing: promise to do one random act of kindness within 24 hours, in honor of fallen soldiers and victims of 9/11.

He's spent a total of 22 months walking. He made it to New York in 2010, and is now in Pennsylvania on his way back to California. He's collected 549,000 signatures so far.
