Almost everybody struggles with having a grateful attitude day in and day out because we're only human.

Delilah explains that we should work on this by starting each day with good intentions and shares a story of how things may fall into place by doing so.

A few days before New Year's Eve I had the honor of witnessing the union of a beautiful couple. The father of the groom, a doctor, delivered the bride and her identical twin sister when they came into this world more than 20 years ago! When the twins were growing up, he hoped and prayed they would always be in his life because he loved their family so much...and that miracle occurred just a couple weeks ago when one of the young ladies said "I do" to his son.

What miracles have you witnessed in the past year? What are you praying for in 2014? I urge you to keep hoping and praying, because when you do, good things may come that can't be explained except by divine power. Let every day be a fresh, new start to look for your blessings, or to be the answered prayer for someone else. Work on having a grateful attitude, start each day with good intentions, and when you fail (because you're human), wake up the next day and try again.

Happy New Year!
