Most Popular Baby Names

Since 1999, "Jacob" has been at the top of the list of baby names for boys. Once again, it kept it's status as the most popular boys name in 2011. What was number one name for girls and what other names made the top ten?

The Social Security Administation is out with the list of most popular baby names for 2011. While "Jacob" held strong in the number one position for boys, "Mason" moved into the number two slot moving "Ethan" to the number 7 spot. Here are the top ten boys names for 2011:

7. Ethan
8. Alexander
9. Aiden
10. Daniel

The girls names saw a switch at number one. "Sophia" moved into the number one spot, moving former number one "Isabella" to number two now. The top ten names for baby girls are as follows:

2. Isabella
3. Emma
4. Olivia
5. Ava
6. Emily
7. Abigail
8. Madison
9. Mia
10. Chloe
