Mother Arrested After Helping Daughter Battle A Bully [VIDEO]

How far would you go to protect your child from a bully? A Long Island mom is facing charges after allegedly encouraging her daughter to fight a bully, and then joining in the fight herself.

NBC New York  is reporting 32-year-old Daphne Melin of Shirley, on Long Island, New York has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and attempted assault.  Melin is alleged to have encouraged her daughter to battle with another girl she claims is a bully.  Suffolk Police reportedly say Melin became involved in the fight, spitting in the girl's face and kneeing her in the head. 

Melin claims her daughter has been a victim of cyber-bullying.  She says she spoke with school officials, but they did nothing about it so she took matters into her own hands.
