It's been more than 40 years since their last big-screen appearance, but Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the gang from Peanuts have a date with the multiplex in three years.

Comic strip creator Charles M. Schulz died in 2000, but the as-yet unnamed movie remains in family hands; Schulz's son Craig Schulz wrote the screenplay with his son Bryan Schulz and Cornelius Uliano.

The release date, November 25, 2015, is the 65th anniversary of the first Peanuts newspaper strip, and the 50th anniversary of the holiday classic A Charlie Brown Christmas.
