WKBW-TV is reporting that NFL team owners have agreed to allow football games to be broadcast locally if a team sells at least 85 percent of the stadium's tickets.

The new rule gives teams the option to set the threshold for broadcast to be higher than the 85 percent. When the Federal Communications Commission reviewed the blackout rule earlier this year, they received the most comments from Buffalo Bills fans!

Under the new rule, home teams will have to share more revenue if they agree to broadcast the game with only 85 percent ticket sales. The Bills would only say that they are reviewing the new rule and will "comment at the appropriate time."
