The annual Niagara Falls City Hall holiday tree lighting celebration will be held in the foyer of Niagara Falls City Hall, 745 Main St. from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The event is free and open to the public and will include holiday songs by The Rainbow Singers; with season’s greetings from Mayor Paul Dyster and refreshments donated by Hard Rock Cafe and Tim Hortons. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance as well.

The theme of this year’s ceremony is “A Family Christmas.” and City Administrator Donna Owens is encouraging residents and their families to enjoy some of the other holiday events taking place in the city including: The Holiday Lights Trail, through Dec. 31; Holiday Market in downtown Niagara Falls, through Dec. 31; The 4th annual Holly Trolley, starting out from City Hall at 4 p.m .to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and making stops throughout the city’s business districts; and the New Year’s Eve guitar drop featuring the Wallers on Dec. 31 in downtown Niagara Falls.
