Northeastern Kidney Foundation Walk Is This Sunday

Join the new 96.1 Joy FM and the Northeastern Kidney Foundation this Sunday at Delaware Park.  

The Walk/5K for Kidneys raises funds for direct patient assistance, free kidney screenings that help us to identify those in early stages of kidney disease (when it's most treatable), school-based programs, advocacy, local research and so much more!

It's the perfect event for everyone, whether you walk or run! And, you can take comfort in knowing that 100 percent of the funds raised stay right in the local community, putting your donation dollars to work where you want them -- right in your neighborhood.

The event will feature entertainment, a kids' zone, Sidney the Kidney, pony rides and games, refreshments, raffles and more!

The 5K pre-registration is only $20. Day-of event registration is $25 and begins at 9 a.m., with the race beginning at 10 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow.

The Walk registration begins at 11 a.m., with the walk beginning at noon.
