Last week, I told you about the NYC police officer, Lawrence DePrimo, who was photographed giving a barefoot, homeless man a pair of shoes in Times Square. Update: the homeless man still is barefoot. Oh yeah…and he’s not homeless.

In this picture by a tourist, DePrimo is giving Jeffrey Hillman, 54, a pair of $100 boots and when the picture went viral, it warmed thousand among thousands of hearts. On facebook, the photo had over 600,000 likes last time I checked. But, now the situation raised a lot of eyebrows when Hillman was spotted without shoes AGAIN!

When asked, Hillman said that the shoes were put away in his apartment so they would not get ruined. Well, that was a shocker. Apparently, Hillman has an apartment in the Bronx that is paid for by New York rent vouchers.

He told the New York Times, "I was put on YouTube. I was put on everything without permission. What do I get? This went around the world, and I want a piece of the pie. I appreciate what the officer did, don't get me wrong, I wish there were more people like him in the world."

What do you think about THAT one?
