Buffalo has it’s own version of the Occupy Wall Street protests. It’s called Occupy Buffalo, strangely enough, and they have been gathering in Niagara Square every Saturday for the last several weeks. Apparently the peaceful demonstrations are growing every week and they are expecting about 500 people in Niagara Square tomorrow at noon. Problem is, they don’t have a permit! While city officials have been kind so far, it will be interesting to see if tomorrow's unsanctioned protest riles some feathers. With the economy in shambles, political activism is on the rise. Who knows, by the time Americans dig themselves out of these tough times, this era may be looked upon like the protests of the 60's that caused so much radical change in America.
