They say you shouldn't mess with a good thing, and while I've only been to Oliver's a couple times (it's expensive, and you didn't think I was gettin' rich from this gig, did you?), the restaurant clearly sticks to that saying -- at least when it comes to their decor.

The North Buffalo eatery was re-opened in 1983, but this postcard shows its decor during what I have to assume was its first iteration, sometime during the 1930s or early 1940s.

Oliver's exterior's barely changed! And, actually, the interior looks pretty similar, too.

The cushy booths and swanky bar are still intact, keeping an air of old-school elegance -- but thankfully, that avocado green / orange / lemon yellow color scheme isn't!
