Our Four Days In Boston

What a birthday present! A week ago Thursday was my birthday, and Corinna, wanted to do something special. She told me, "have you bags packed for 4 days away". "Don't schedule anything at work from 12 noon on Friday May 27th thru 6pm Monday May 30th", and yes, she was just that vague.

At first I had no idea what we were doing or where we were going. Then about a month ago, she asked me "Do you want to know what we are doing on Memorial Day weekend?" Knowing it probably not wise to say no, I said sure! She asked, "What is your favorite city in the U.S.?" I replied Boston, MA. She said "that's where I am taking you, for your birthday present".

It was the BEST birthday present I ever had! Four fabulous days in "Beantown". Yes, I had been there before, but mostly on business. Corinna had rented a car, but I said cancel it, (it's $44-a-day, just to park in Boston), and I wanted to walk, to see the sites; The USS Constitution, the State House, the Boston Common, Bunker Hill, Charlestown, Quincy Market...and we saw them all! We walked about 7 miles a day and loved it!

Boston is full of history, and life! "Spenser: For Hire" was filmed there along with "The Real World", "Cheers", so you will feel like you are in a familiar place, and the food was fantastic, especially if you like seafood. How about 3 one pound lobsters, salad, and two drinks for $56.00!

You may want to plan a visit in the Fall, when Boston is ablaze in color. It is only a one hour flight from Buffalo.
