It's hard to stay involved fully with everyone in your life when dealing with work, school, etc.

However, Delilah explains that you shouldn't miss out on the lives of the people who matter most because you're distracted by some of the less important things in life.

Let me ask you a few questions today. Do you actively participate in your life? Do you get involved in your children’s lives and your friends’ lives? Are you emotionally available and present for people? Or do you sit by and watch life go by passively, as if it were a movie? Do you miss out because you’re too busy being distracted by less important things?
It’s fun to be entertained and escape reality with a movie or catch up with people on Facebook. But when you can’t remember the last time you talked with a friend in person, or if you don’t really know what your child has been learning in school the past few weeks, it’s time to actively engage those relationships and get involved. Turn off the texting, power down the computer, and participate. I promise the stress and exhaustion you are trying to escape from will melt away when you work on fostering healthy relationships.
I have a friend who passed away this month; she was in her mid-thirties. She had a beautiful spirit, and it’s surreal to think that she’s really gone so young. But God called her home and I’m reminded again that none of us are promised a tomorrow. So we need to make the best of today, and every day, with the ones who are important to us.
I hope the stories I share each night on my show encourage you to get involved with the people you love, take action, and participate in life. Live the life you were meant to live. I know there is greatness in you; I know you have ideas and I know you have talent. I know you have a good heart and I want you to share it with others. Participate and share the gift of your time with others.

How do YOU become involved in other people's lives, such as your children's, friends', etc.? Share by commenting below!
