It was announced in February that the U.S. Postal Service would stop delivering on Saturdays.

Now the Postal Service is having a change of heart. They're delaying the stoppage and considering other alternatives, like lowering union wages and raising prices.

What was wrong with the initial plan that would save us $2 billion per year?  Part of the problem in business and in the U.S. is that saying "we've always done it that way."  People are afraid of change.  If you don't change, someone will pass you by.  So pass the buck onto the general public.

Do we really need 6-day-a-week mail service?  I'm good with three days a week.
