Sometimes meatloaf doesn't seem to sound like the most appetizing meal.

Add pizza to the equation, and you get a meal to die for!

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground hot Italian sausage
1 jar pizza sauce (reserve 1/4 of sauce for topping)
1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella or Pepper Jack cheese (reserve 1/2 cup for topping)
1/2 red onion, diced
1 small green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
1/4 cup Canadian bacon, chopped
1/4 cup pepperoni, chopped
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 egg
1 cup uncooked oats

Instructions:

In a large bowl add all ingredients except for reserved sauce and cheese.  Use clean hands to combine meat mixture well.  Form into a rectangle, loaf shape.  Wash hands!

Spray a light coating of cooking spray in a glass (or oven safe) baking pan and add the meatloaf, making sure there's room to cover the top with foil. Spread remaining pizza sauce in an even coating over the meatloaf, cover with foil and bake in a 370° oven for about an hour.

Uncover meatloaf and sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top, let cook uncovered for approximately 30 minutes or until meatloaf is cooked all the way through.

Remove meatloaf from oven and let rest for about 15 minutes before slicing into the strange goodness that tastes like a...Pizza Meatloaf!  Serve with crusty garlic bread and a favorite side salad.
