So much talent comes through the comedy factory known as Second City, every cast produces at least one 'star'. In the late '70's, Toronto's branch exploded with so much talent, it jumped from the stage to TVs across North America.

Among the performers who broke out on SCTV and its expanded version SCTV Network 90: Martin Short, Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, and the late John Candy.
