In the lives of many people, there are times when we tend to feel lonely and ache to be wanted.

However, if you change the way you think, it will help tremendously.

I think it's safe to say we've all felt lonely at one time or another. We've all felt like the outcast. We've all ached for someone who can't be there. We've all been thru tough stuff and felt like no one could really relate or understand. It's easy to sink into a deep, dark hole and wallow in hurt, anger or self-pity until it paralyzes us from having any joy in life. That is not a place you want to get to, because it's really hard to get out.

So how do you pick yourself up when life knocks you down? You shift your perspective, that's how. You realize that you are worthy of love and happiness and great opportunities. You consider yourself blessed for the things you have in your life. You realize a big God made you for a wonderful purpose, and maybe you're not spending enough time asking Him what that purpose is.

You may feel alone, but that's never the case...although a little solitude and reflection may be just what you need to re-invent your attitude about life. Shift your perspective to see the growth opportunity in every situation.

How do YOU pick yourself up when you feel low and unwanted? Comment below!
