The marital bed, once a symbol of matrimony, may someday be a thing of the past! Nearly 25% of married couples in the U.S. now sleep in separate beds, according to the National Sleep Foundation. Ditto for England and Japan.

Separate sleeping arrangements are so popular that the National Association of Home Builders says it expects 60% of custom homes to have dual master bedrooms by 2015.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt often sleep in separate rooms, a former bodyguard dished to In Touch Weekly.

Snoring can be a problem! By the time Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle, celebrated five months of marriage, they were already sleeping in separate beds because, as a friend revealed, "He snores like a freight train."
