Reports are circulating this morning that "spy planes" could be coming to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, if the Air Force agrees to a plan to prevent cuts in units like the 107th Airlift Wing, based in the Falls.

An unspecified number of the new spy planes could be reassigned to the 107th replacing the C-130 cargo planes currently based at the Air Reserve station.

If the proposal from the Council of Governors is enacted it would save some of the 845 jobs threatened with elimination under a current Airforce plan.
