What's true of many major cities goes double for New York. Us New Yorkers tend to see some pretty strange things out on the streets, oftentimes never batting an eye. The folks at AMC and 'The Walking Dead' put that theory to the test, however, by attacking real Big Apple citizens in a new viral stunt to promote the horror drama's Sunday return!
We're just days away from 'The Walking Dead''s dramatic 2014 return, picking up with our merry band of survivors in divided factions following the climactic events of 2013 finale "Too Far Gone." We've got plenty of burning questions of our own, but what gruesome answers lie in the first clip from Sunday's "After" and seven brand-spanking-new photos of the season to come?
We weren't over the moon by the initial revelation that AMC would parlay 'Breaking Bad''s colossal success into prequel spinoff 'Better Call Saul,' but if we have to explore Saul Goodman's pre-Walter White past, our favorite New Mexican lawyer will at least keep some fine company. 'Breaking Bad' veteran Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut) will co-captain 'Better Call Saul' alongside Bob Odenkirk, but how regular will Mike's presence be?
Well, we should have seen this coming. Following those long-ago rumors and photos of Bryan Cranston's former 'Malcolm in the Middle' co-star Jane Kaczmarek popping up on the 'Breaking Bad' set, we knew a cameo had to be in the works. That's right, it turns out 'Breaking Bad' was the prequel to 'Malcolm' all along, in a new 'Breaking Bad' alternate ending!
We've heard some pretty insane responses and theories emerge from the 'Breaking Bad' series finale, "Felina," but the latest would make even Walter White blush. Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg reportedly offered AMC the gargantuan sum of $75 million, just short of Walter White's life's work, to commission three additional 'Breaking Bad' episodes to take place after the finale.
As hard as it will be to say goodbye to Bryan Cranston's Walter White and those still left alive in the cast, 'Breaking Bad' has made its goodbye a little longer by extending the final two episodes to seventy-five minutes a piece.
The announcements that AMC had decided to re-cancel 'The Killing,' spinoff 'Breaking Bad' into a 'Better Call Saul' prequel and add a 'Walking Dead' companion series spinoff for 2015 had us wondering if 'Mad Men' would be the next target to fill the rapidly-expanding holes in AMC's lineup, and it seems we were right. The network has decided to split 'Mad Men's seventh and "final" season between 2014 and 2015, expanding each run as 'Breaking Bad' did before them.
Devastated though we may be that 'Breaking Bad' will soon come to a close, leaving our jaws on the desert floor with each subsequent episode, we didn't think the real nightmare would ever come to pass. Spinoff series 'Better Call Saul' has officially been greenlit at AMC as a prequel to the story of Walter White, and there doesn't seem to be enough blue stuff in the world to cope with the news.
