No matter what the holiday, we always love getting extra festive. It's not like we need an excuse to wear awful Christmas sweaters or take part in a harmless snowman prank, but doing that stuff during the season makes us look a little less crazy. The season also provides the perfect excuse to go way overboard in the decorating department.
Tis the season for Christmas lights, nativity scenes and Santa lawn statues. In December, it often seems like every house in the neighborhood is decorated for the holidays. But are they really, or are your eyes being tricked by the blinking lights?
John Storm is a lucky man. Most people who move into a new neighborhood and promptly set up an insane Christmas light show set to 'Gangnam Style' would not be very popular. His neighbors, however, think it's kind of impressive to meet a real-life Clark Griswold. We think it's kind of impressive that his hobby requires him to use a dongle. That's sincerely Gangnam Style.
November 8, 2012 I'm gearing up to make sure that my Christmas lights are all set this week so that I don't have to put them up when it's cold or snowy. As a matter of fact, it's supposed to be in the 60s this weekend, making it a great weekend to do so. I'm trying to get Laura to put them up before she decides not to put them up at all when it snows.
December 19, 2011 WOW, I am tired! I finally finished putting up our Christmas lights. Are you ready to see our display? I think the electric company will be sending us a "Thank You" card!
It's got to take hours, maybe even days to set up some of the Christmas light displays out there. I can't even imagine the cost involved in accumulating all of the lights, inflatables and other decorations, not to mention the electric bills! While holiday light displays are fun to look at, can you imagine living next door to some of these people?
December 16, 2011 I admit, I love Christmas light displays. I especially like those that have a theme. Here is one I found that could actually be left up all year long. It pays tribute to our men and women in uniform serving and protecting our freedom.

Saks Fifth Avenue's light display is an annual event, and this year is I think it's awesome, but you be the judge.
It’s perfectly normal to mark the holidays with a decoration or two. But the Rieken family in Texas takes their celebration of the season to the extreme by cramming over 200 trees into their home. Clark Griswold of ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation’ fame would be proud!
