You may not be aware, but the Easter Bunny has been around for a long time. Easily one of the most recognizable symbols of the holiday, the loveable critter was first mentioned in an essay by German physician and botanist Georg Franck von Frankenau all the way back in 1682. Funny, we always figured he was just a Hallmark creation.

I'm a mutt when it comes to where my family is from originally.  My mom's side it Italian, Polish and a sliver Lithuanian. My dad's side is English and Scottish. Growing up in NJ was great because I was exposed to all different cultures, ethnic foods and traditions.

In case you haven't noticed, costumed characters can be super creepy. Remember those scary Santas? It's the stuff of nightmares. Unfortunately, the Easter Bunny is no exception.

Easter's right around the corner, so it's time to get into the holiday spirit. Create some awesome eggs, stuff yourself with Peeps--whatever floats your Easter boat. If none of this prep works for you though, we say take a cue from these Easter bunny babies.

As you know, this Sunday is Easter. For Christians, that is the day we say that Jesus was raised from the dead.
