As many of you know, in addition to my part-time on-air work here at Townsquare Media, I am also a proud member of the Erie County Sheriff's Office Mounted Reserve Unit. I joined back in 1996 and am presently a Lieutenant, Instructor and Chaplain. Our unit suffered a huge loss back in July when a freak malfunction caused our Captain's horse trailer to become disconnected from his vehicle. His horse, "Buffalo Joe", was killed instantly. (Incidentally, that trailer was only 8 months old...the investigation of the accident is continuing.) The outpouring of sympathy and concern from the community has been overwhelming! From Russ Salavatore purchasing a new horse, "R.J", for our division...to the not-for-profit Western New York Chapter of the New York State Horse Council's generosity.

Friends and family of 14-year-old Bryce Buchholz are pulling together to honor the Lancaster Middle School student who was killed by a drunk driver last May 3. They're hoping to raise enough money for a bike park in Lancaster in memory of the teen. How can you help?
