When Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios agreed on a deal to essentially share Spider-Man, the first thing they decided on was that he would be formally introduced in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. After all, if you’re going to have a deal with Marvel, you might as well take advantage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and their many characters. Also...

After three straight years of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting, the Golden Globes invited previous three-time host Ricky Gervais (2010-2012) to return for the 2016 awards show. Said Gervais back on January 1, “Because I can see the future, I’d like to apologise [sic] now for the things I said at next week’s Golden Globes. There's nothing like watching the cast of 'The Avengers' duke it out, Family Feud–style!

Avengers 2 doesn't open for another few weeks, but deep inside Marvel headquarters they've already begun turning their attention to the next big movie: Captain America: Civil War. Frequently referred to as Avengers 2.5 because of the sheer amount of superheroes packed into this one film — Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Hawkeye are all confirmed to star — the third Captain America movie might be the biggest superhero film yet. As Marvel gets ready to begin filming, a casting call has given us our first look at the film's plot.

Yesterday saw the release of a new Avengers 2 poster focusing solely on Iron Man. It was a welcome break from the earlier, overcrowded Avengers 2 poster. At the time, Robert Downey, Jr. promised a “big announcement” on March 5, and while we still don't know what that announcement will be, it looks like we'll be getting new Avengers 2 posters each day as a countdown. Today, we have another new poster featuring Hulk doing what Hulk does best — Hulking out.

First, the good news: Robert Downey, Jr. has agreed to star in 'Iron Man 4' for Marvel! Considering everything he has been saying over the past year or so - essentially that he can't imagine an 'Iron Man 4' ever happening - that's a major step in the right direction and a huge win for Marvel Studios. But...Downey's agreement has come with one rather large condition. That his old friend, and current member of the Hollywood blacklist, Mel Gibson be allowed to direct.
