Teachers, thank you for all that you do!

It's back-to-school time. As parents are busy buying new clothes for our kids and hitting the long list of supplies they need, we will more than likely complain about the amount of money we spend.

What's lost in all of this are the people that don't get paid nearly enough for spending hours every day with our kids -- teaching them, guiding them and opening up their own wallets to them.

With school budgets being slashed across the country, more and more teachers are paying for classroom supplies with their own money, according to a new study.

The survey found 26 percent of teachers polled reported spending $400 of their own hard-earned on school supplies last year -- up 3 percent from 2011 -- and 53 percent said their school's budget had been cut, reports USA Today.
